Backed by the rolling hills of the Pennines, we look out onto the Carlisle/Settle railway which winds along the banks of the River Eden through the Eden Valley, - a line famous for its steam trains and magnificent scenery.
Five minutes off the A6 and twenty minutes from the M6 we are ideally placed for exploration of the Scottish Borders, the western coast line, Northumbria, as well as Lake Ullswater and the northern fells.
Situated mid-way between the market town of Penrith and the Cathedral border city of Carlisle we are only 45 minutes from the centre of the Lake District, 2 hours from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Manchester and 1 ½ hours from Newcastle - not too far to down tools and enjoy a peaceful break away from city life!
